Butcher, a fast-paced, skill-testing 2D shooter is to arrive on PS4 and Xbox One this year.
Those who may remember it, Transhuman Design’s Soldat was a great 2D shooter in which players ran around a 2D arena with various platforms, firing at each other. The title was online play too so players could get friends to join in the fun. Well, the makers of Soldat have got a similar title called, Butcher coming to consoles.
While it has been available for PC users since last year, the arrival on consoles will expand the titles fan base. It’s brutal 2D shooting style is no doubt going to get console gamers whacking those analogue sticks in every direction in a frantic haze while trying to not get shredded to death in the single-player game.
The levels bring a dark atmosphere to the game and put players against anything that even so much looks at them. The weapon selection is vast and includes both meele and ranged weapons, but on top of that players can use the environment to their advantage.
Butcher is arriving sometime in Q2 this year, and will be available on PS4 and Xbox One. It’s available for pre-order as a Special Edition Bundle over on the EU PSN store.
