Atlas Reactor Now Free As Season 2 Launches
Atlas Reactor is now Free-To-Play as it launches Season 2 with some new characters in tow.
Trion Worlds have pushed a trailer announcing that their title, Atlas Reactor is now fully FTP. This comes alongside the launch of Atlas Reactor Season 2 as well as bringing some more playable characters to the game.
We have reviewed Atlas Reactor before here at B3, Brian’s post has a look at it, and he couldn’t stop going on about it for weeks.
“It’s a turn-based strategy game, sure, but one in which you control a sole character (or freelancer as they are named in-game). You then team up with 3 other people from around the world and set out to vanquish the opposing team, not dissimilarly to Frozen Synapse. The arena’s are small, but with plenty of cover, and the playable characters are numerous and varied. And, oh boy, can you customise them!” – Brian (Big Boss Battle)
Atlas Reactor Season 2 brings more loot, more characters, more competition and more game modes.
New characters are coming to the game, with one being named as Brynn, The Skywarden who is available! Players can also earn Flux, which is a new currency. This is gained just by playing the game, Flux allows players to unlock,
- Freelancers – Find your favorite character, or master them all!
- Mod Tokens – Define your own play style by equipping the perfect loadout.
- Master Skins – Skintimidation FTW! (You’ll still be able to unlock these using ISO.)
- Additional Loadout Slots (Coming Soon!) – Save and select your mod setup for the perfect situation.
Providing players have 10 Freelancers and have played 50 pvp matches, anyone can now have access to the ranked queues.
As a thank you bonus to players that purchased the game before it became FTP, those players will gain a bundle that includes,
- 50,000 Flux – Enough to purchase 2 Master Skins!
- 5000 ISO
- Exclusive Overcon
- Exclusive Emblem
- Exclusive Title: “Guardian of Atlas”
- 5 Snowmageddon loot matrices
- 5 Holo-Haunt loot matrices
