Astervoid 2000 by Mad Capacity, and LREVG hit the steam store today, releasing with a 15% discount until the 8th December.
The game has been in development for over two years, and as seen in the GIF above, it has undergone various art styles, ranging from your classic looking, Asteroids, to a more vector heavy focus, to what it looks like now. A space brawler with smooth animations, but being incredibly inspired by the retro couch games that most older players would remember, and this seems to be bringing it back for both the new generation and old.
Astervoid 2000 hosts a single player survival game mode, putting your score onto a global leaderboard; and a local multiplayer experience to really stick with their inspiration on bringing back couch gaming.
Astervoid 2000 is available on PC, Mac, and Linux for £6.99 as standard, but with a 15% discount it knocks it down to £5.94. There is also a Soundtrack edition for £10.98 (discounted currently at 41% leaving it at £6.53)
