Razer, well known for their gaming accessories, have announced their newest desktop gaming speakers line: Mako. which will include The Mako and Maco X desktop gaming speakers.
Most modern desks are full of tchotchkes and accessories, as such there isn’t always too much room when it comes to dedicating space to your speaker set up. Larger – or multiple – screens or headset holders often factor into desk furnishings before sound, and that can sometimes leave you with only the tiny space nestled behind your screen. That’s a problem that the Razer Mako range is designed to fix.
Their latest product line, which starts with the Razer Mako X, is targeting the compact speaker market, with it aimed at filling the spot with high quality audio all while slotting in alongside an existing Razer set up. The Mako, which is due to launch after the Mako X, is the larger of the two and comes with rear-projection Chroma, simple USB-C, Bluetooth 5.3 and 3.5mm connection options – it will also come with a subwoofer to round out the set.
Meanwhile, the Mako X is more compact as it instead uses passive radiators for the bass and so doesn’t come with the subwoofer. It can also run on all of the same connections as the Mako, making for an easy fit. Where the Mako features rear lighting, the Mako X features a 10-zone Chroma RBG underglow.
Both speaker options are incredibly compact, and because they can run straight off of USB, it means that you can slot them into almost any void that you have in your set-up.
Going back to the audio side of things, Razer have stated that there’s a range of audio levels covered: “With up to 30W RMS and 45W peak power, advanced drivers bring your audio to life—delivering a wide spectrum of sound that stays loud and clear up to 83dB without distortion.” Also adding that it delivers virtual 7.1 surround sound.
