Watch: Crypt of the NecroDancer: Amplified Launch Trailer Marks Early Access Exit this Week
Brace Yourself Games have confirmed that Crypt of the NecroDancer: Amplified will be leaving Steam Early Access on the 12th of July, They’ve marked the occasion with a new trailer, available below.
After six months in early access, Brace Yourself Games’ award winning rhythm-roguelike title, Crypt of the NecroDancer’s first DLC is releasing later this week.
Amplified, which was announced back in January, adds forty new songs to the original games’ soundtrack as well as more enemies, pets, bosses, items, weapons, and a new character, Nocturna.
Nocturna will be the eighth character in the game, and will be the most mechanically varied one yet. The main change comes in her Bat Form which cannot dig or use items, but always deals a set amount of damage. The new form also cannot benefit from armour (so you’ll want to increase your heart containers as soon as possible) but also works as a lifesaver when you take fatal damage in human form. Fatal damage will result in you being changed to the bat form with half a health bar – enough that you wouldn’t survive the transition to human without healing, but also enough to possibly get you out of danger.
Amplified is currently £4.99 on Steam, we’re unsure if this will increase with launch. You can find the new trailer for the DLC below,
Crypt of the NecroDancer: Amplified exits Steam Early Access on the 12th of July. It will be available for Windows PC, Mac & Linux. Console versions are set to follow at unspecified times.
