Armed with Wings: Rearmed Leaves Early Access, Console Versions On Horizon
The 2D hack-n-slash title, Armed with Wings: Rearmed has officially left Steam Early Access and has fully launched after a 2 year stint in beta.
Developed by Sun-Studios, this 2D, black-and-white, hack-n-slash title is a rebooted version of their 2008 version when it was a browser based Flash game. The Rearmed version began development back in 2013 and sees forty handcrafted levels to hack your way through, and multiple game modes being available to play, such as Survival, and even multiplayer.
You’ll find yourself unlocking characters and weapons and more as you play as the Samurai Warrior who wields a sword can summon the powers of lightning, reducing enemies to nothing more than mist. The Eagle is also playable as a way to help solve puzzles, distract enemies, and gather objects unreachable to the Samurai. You can control these two as you explore the lands and the skies to learn about mysteries that lie upon Blackmist and set out to eliminate King Vandheer.
The full release introduces weapons that are dropped by fallen foes that you can pick and equip. Campfires allow you to change equipment, and new relic challenges are unlocked after collecting all relics across the lands. There are three difficulties to choose from, Normal, Hard, and Futile if you want a challenge, and you can take these difficulties on with three playable characters. There’s also a new VS arena mode allowing local battles with friends.
Armed with Wings: Rearmed is available on PC and includes controller support. It will also be heading to consoles thanks to a partnership with Nnooo Publishing. They will help bring the title to PS4 and Xbox One.
