Final Fantasy XII – The Zodiac Age Does Not Look Like a PS2 Game. At All.
The remaster of the 2006 game looks crisp, with character models and visuals appealing to the eye by today’s standards.
Final Fantasy XII – The Zodiac Age is fast approaching and, in order toto showcase its now polished strengths, Square Enix have released a new trailer including combat, cutscenes and a first look at the revamped Job System. You can watch the trailer at the end of this piece.
For a PS2 title, Final Fantasy XII has always looked fine, but the touch-ups it’s getting are proving the fact that it passes the test of time with flying colors.
In addition to a better-looking face, The Zodiac Age includes the Job System implemented in the international edition of the original XII, which never came out of Japan, but with a twist. Two jobs can be assigned to each character instead of the original one. An option to overlay the maps of areas, auto saving features and speed-ups are some of the tweaks we will enjoy as well.
Final Fantasy XII – The Zodiac Age will release on PS4 on July 11.
