The long-awaited Samurai job is finally on its way to Final Fantasy XIV.
Final Fantasy XIV is undergoing a celebratory Fan Festival in Frankfurt, with the event running for today and all of tomorrow. At the opening event today, a new trailer for the game’s upcoming expansion – Stormblood – has dropped, and you can see it at the end of this piece. The expansion at hand is due out on June 20 and fans of the MMORPG are really excited about it.
As if they weren’t excited enough before today, we got to learn that the Samurai job will be the second one to join the roster of jobs available for players when Stormblood releases – as reported by Siliconera. Fans have been requesting the Samurai for some time so excitement is in the air.
The Samurai job will dish out significant damage and has multiple tools in its arsenal such as the capacity to accumulate energy in the katana being wielded. Together with the job announcement, show attendees could witness new areas, environments, dungeons and enemies that will come when the expansion releases.
The first half or so of the trailer below will ring a bell for fans of the game, but the trailer is extended to include new content that was revealed today.
Final Fantasy XIV – Stormblood will launch on PC and PS4 on June 20.
