Dontnod Entertainment and, publisher, Focus Home Interactive have released a new trailer for their upcoming Action RPG, this time focused on the dark, atmospheric setting that haunts 1918’s London.
Vampyr, an action RPG from Dontnod Entertainment (Life is Strange, Remember Me) that sees players take on the role of Dr Jonathan Reid during the 1918 Spanish Flu outbreak in London. They’ll have to survive the onslaught of prowling hunters, while also choosing which of the cities citizens to save and savour – for, Reid, through unfortunate events is a vampire.
This latest trailer is populated with the -a little bit Mary Poppins- voices of some of the residents within the area of Dr Reid’s operations. In a game where you’re trying to cure some, while having to feast on others in order to survive those hunting you, it’s certainly going to be interesting to see how relationships with some of the citizens can play out.
From the description on the trailer: “In Vampyr, every citizen killed will affect London’s safety. From shop closures to missing kin, the act of killing is unavoidable, but who you kill, and how, is in your hands. Every civilian can be killed, or saved – but as hordes of vampire hunters prowl the streets, growing strong on the blood of the weak will be ever more tempting.”
Vampyr is set to release at some point in 2017, when it launches it will do so for Xbox One, PS4 & PC.
