July 26th release for improved version of cardboard box based platformer
Prospect Games, and publisher Merge Games, have announced a new version of their recent release, Unbox. The new version will be subtitled Newbie’s Adventure and will include several optimisations as well as split-scren content.
The new version of the game is currently in development for PS4, Xbox One & Switch, with a PC update also in the works. Both the PS4 & Xbox One version are set for release on the 26th of July, with the other two platforms not having set dates for their respective releases.
Unbox, for those of you unaware of the title, follows the story of a lone cardboard box who is a member of a self-delivering postal service. It follows most of the practices of 3D platformers, with collectibles, challenges and boss fights.

In addition to the single-player campaign there’s also several four-player multiplayer modes, and character customisation.
Unbox: Newbie’s Adventure releases on July 26th for PS4 & Xbox One. Existing PC owners will receive it as a free update. It will also release on Switch later in the year.
