Time Travelling Shooter BeardedBear is Seeking Funds; Has Demo, Makes Very Little Sense

Bearded Bear, from Bear in Mind, has taken to Kickstarter seeking a rather humble €6,000 in funding.

The game takes the classic shooter genre and adds in time travelling, an experience based difficulty system, as well as a weapon combination system.

Interestingly the game also features a malleable soundtrack, one which pulls in audio based on both the weapon and ammo you’re wielding at the time. It’s a really nice idea, although as one might imagine from a game still relatively early in development, it’s a bit rough around the edges in the demo available on the Kickstarter page.

With a little bit of tweaking to the weapon based audio (it’s abrupt because you only possess a gun for 15 seconds maximum) either through fading in on collection, or fading in as you approach it, it’ll be a very cool feature.

You can find the Kickstarter Page Here, or you can give the video below -of a dev playing the demo build- a watch below; you’ll see what I mean about the audio, as well as possibly spot a few other things -like framerate- which are inevitably scheduled for repair before the game’s full release.

Update: As you’ll see in the comments below, the developer’s pointed out that the slow-down was simply a recording update.

    Thanks for the article!
I just wanted to clarify that the framerate drops in the gameplay video are not in-game lag but is because i recorded that video on a rush from a laptop, you can test the demo yourself to see that the game runs stable at 60fps witha a low-mid tier machine 🙂
