While Nintendo haven’t been pushing out too many details for Nintendo Switch games, there has been a mention of Splatoon 2, however not directly from Nintendo.
Broken Joysticks, a gaming website have confirmed that a singleplayer mode of Splatoon 2 will be coming.
An editor, Les Major has mentioned that, while Nintendo kept the focus on multiplayer for the Nintendo Switch exclusive title, there is a singleplayer mode that will be available. Les states he was told this by an official Nintendo PR representative at a Nintendo Switch Press Event.
The story is to take place two years after the first story from Splatoon. While Splatoon featured a story mode, the Nintendo Switch trailers and presentations kept showing Splatoon 2 in it’s multiplayer state, clearly trying to show off how much the Switch is meant to bring players together. Les Major has stated that he has an upcoming video of the conversation taking place, which when that drops I’ll update this post with the video below.
