Serial Cleaner Out Now on Xbox One, PS4 & PC
70s themed, stealth clean ’em up Serial Cleaner is out today on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
After nearly 10 months in Early Access on Steam, 1Fun4All S.A. (Red Game Without a Great Name) and publisher Curve Digital’s Serial Cleaner has official reached version 1.0. In addition to this, the game has also launched as a digital download for PS4 and Xbox One on the relevant storefronts.
Serial Cleaner, which was originally announced back in May of last year, is an isometric stealth title which sees players controlling the titular cleaner who has one simple job. To ensure that there are no clues left to discover after various brutal, messy incidents. This means you’ll be sneaking around crime scenes, evading guards and police offices as you attempt to clean up blood, hide bodies, and remove evidence before the officers discover it. If you get spotted or caught even once then that is your reputation straight out the window – an instant fail – so it’s a case of total, high-risk, high-tension stealth.
Most appealing of all is the wonderful visual style which lends itself perfectly to the 1970s setting of the game. It captures both the strange pastel colouring and soft repeat of the art deco movement which dominated the era.
Here’s the features list from the game’s official website:
-Fully realized 1970s-inspired setting
-Just take a look at that art style!
-The game uses Real-World Data to modify levels accordingly with the current time of day in the player’s whereabouts
-Levels take inspiration from actual 1970s murder scenes
-Humor and atmosphere inspired by Fargo series and Pulp Fiction movie
-Playful approach to solving each level, which rewards exploration and experimentation
Serial Cleaner is available now for Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC, Mac & Linux.
