Our Picks from the Wholesome Direct

0

The Wholesome Direct is a yearly celebration of things wholesome and cozy! There were a lot of game announcements this year, with so many cozy games coming out over the rest of the year and the start of next, all featured. As a big lover of these types of games, we’ve selected a handful from the Wholesome Direct to share:

Discounty

Alongside the Wholesome Direct, Discounty now has a new, free expansion with a different ending loop and more content.

“I can’t wait for more Discounty to come, there’s something deeply satisfying about running a day’s shift in my little shop — however, now that the local drama has all died down there’s less of a reason to keep returning. Discounty‘s biggest weakness is that it has an ending that doesn’t quite feel like an ending, and doesn’t give you a reason to keep going… but, if you love it after an hour then you’ll love it right up until the credits roll.”

The Wandering Village: The Last Leviathan DLC

The Wandering Village is getting a new DLC, which was announced during the Wholesome Direct. This DLC has a new creature, who needs to be managed through their moisture level, while you build a town on it’s back.

Hokko Spaces

Hokko Spaces, a calm, sandbox game where you can create little areas of living spaces and then see the creatures interact with them, has been announced during this event. It is looking like such a fantastic, bite-sized game.

Hidden Folks 2

Hidden Folks 2 aims to build on the previous Hidden Folks game – with more themes, more worlds, more interesting interactions and more of the fun that they’ve previously had in the first game. The little animations and silly mouth-noises really make this game!

Many of these games aren’t quite out yet, but they are great to look forward to over the next few months!
