NAIRI 7 Months on: Some of the Charming Point & Click’s Backstory Shown in Video, New Location Detailed
NAIRI developers Home Bear Studio have released a large update on their progress with the game, an update which includes story sequences, new audio, and a new area.
After a successful Steam greenlight and besting it’s humble $7,500 Kickstarter target last year, developers Home Bear Studio have been hard at work finishing the graphic adventure title.

NAIRI, which follows a young noble and her cat friend Rex, is probably best compared to the Professor Layton series, with a strong narrative moving the game forward through a series of rooms all seen from fixed room perspectives (think Myst, also). NAIRI’s puzzles are vastly more visual, with players interacting with shops and storefronts, as well as -as with the point-and-click genre- using items from their inventories to interact with the areas they’re in.
The latest update trailer, ‘Kidnapped’, gives a bit of backstory to the main character, through a flashback as well as introducing a group of mysterious individuals who are up to no good.
The Kickstarter update also introduced a few new characters, revealed a new track on the games soundtrack, and showcased some work for a new area in the game – The Zakat District.
You can read the latest update over on the game’s Kickstarter, here.
NAIRI is set to release for Windows PC later this year.
