MvC: Infinite Extended Character Trailer Reveals Morrigan & Captain America
A new trailer has been released for next year’s Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite revealing another two characters for the roster; Captain America, and Morrigan.
Following its announcement on Saturday we only knew four of the character’s in Capcom’s next entry into the Marvel vs. Capcom series; Iron Man, Mega Man X, Captain Marvel, and Ryu.
While it would have been easy to guess the addition of Captain America (as a matter of fact, in the press release, and on the linked Playstation blog it listed America rather than Marvel) as well as various members of the Avengers, we still have to wait for the drip-drop of characters to be officially named by Capcom.
An extended cut character trailer (handily numbered #1) was, however, released earlier on today confirming that Darkstalker’s Morrigan, and Avenger’s Captain America would be being added to the game’s roster.
The fact that late 2017 will not only see the release of this game, but is also the rough release window for the new Avenger’s movie, INFINITY WAR, would infer that we are likely to see a less mutant focused game than previous entries in the series. As a matter of fact, assumption (admittedly a notorious mother of bad things) would lead us to believe we’ll see a game free of mutants entirely due to Fox holding the license for those films, and Disney going all out on the ‘Cinematic Universe’ front.
That however is wild speculation, and I’d rather it false as Wolverine was a solid part of my team. That said, as MvC:I is 2vs2 that’ll need to be shifted up as well I guess.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite is set to launch in late 2017 on PC, Xbox One & PS4.
