Minecraft Pets Collection brings the cute pets!
While Minecraft is perhaps best known for its mods, or even its core survival experience, there’s another part that doesn’t get written about quite as much: A collection of marketplace creations, made by users, that can be added to your Minecraft world. As our household happens to play a lot of Minecraft, it only feels natural that we get these packs and see what they are all about. The Pets Collection by Cyclone is one of the pets packs we decided would be a good fit.
The Minecraft Pets Collection adds over 30 different pets, including cats, dogs, foxes, fish, snails, hamsters, and so much more. These pets all have actual needs added to the game — they will tell you when they are tired, hungry, thirsty, and want to play. It’s up to you to keep their needs met by providing the right items to them.
At first, the kids found this a bit confusing, as they just wanted to feed their cats food, but you need to put out the bowl first, then put food in the bowl. Once they figured out how to take care of their pets properly, they started exploring the map.
The map in the Pets Collection is bright, colorful, and like something out of a child’s movie. There are plenty of different eggs to find dotted around, which can then be placed and allowed to hatch. Once the egg hatches, which does take a fair amount of time, you can then tame the pet and have it walk around with you. There are also accessories for your pets to wear, and so much more to see.
If you explore the buildings, you can find frames that contain the items you need, as well as more animals that do not require hatching, if you’d much rather spawn animals in.
Caring for the animals and making homes for them are really fun within this world too, as there are so many different objects that your animals will interact with. Though it is limited to this world, so you won’t be able to pull your pets into your existing world. With that said, there is a lot to do, and the world itself is crafted so well.
You can find the Minecraft Pets Collection on the Marketplace.
