Just Ski to Arrive on App Store Next Week
Just Ski, a minimalistic ski’ing title by Farseer Games is heading to the iOS app store next week.
Now, I’m not sure if you reading this will remember, but there was a Flash game the was fairly popular for killing time back in my high school years, so this was before 2007, and this title, Line Rider brought a fun physics based gameplay element to browsers. Players could draw their track and watch a character on a sleigh, or ski’s travel down it.
Just Ski doesn’t allow you to doodle your track, but the overall minimal feel of the title when I saw the below trailer reminded me of Line Rider. Just Ski however, is colourful. Levels look like the clean, white foreground and character is set amongst levels of different colours per level. The player uses physics and speed and fancy spins to make it through each level. In fact, the physics driven mechanic is actually borrowed from an abandoned title called, Ski Stunt Simulator. The title also boasts quick restarts and the bails sound like they’re going to be fun to witness with the rigid-body style crashes.
The title will be launching on the 10th of May 2017 for a low, low price, but looks to bring pure enjoyment with an easy pick-up-and-play feeling resonating from it.
