Escape From Tarkov, the long standing extraction shooter from Battlestate Games, has just released its new seasonal content starting with Season 1, Kord Breach featuring some unique modifiers, changes to quests and traders as well as new content to explore and rewards to earn.
Season 1 Kord Breach will only be available on PVP servers and will have you start a new, seasonal character with its own progression separate from the standard PVP experience, or that of the PVE experience, and will allow you to select some modifiers and feature some seasonal modifiers for all players.
The seasonal characters for Kord Breach will have their own servers and will not be mixed with standard PVP accounts to ensure fairness in raids and make sure everyone is on a level playing field with its own balances and economy surrounding traders and the flea market.
There will of course be seasonal rewards with the release of Kord Breach, brand new rewards from gear to cosmetics that can be earned by participating in the new seasonal content and will be available to all players. A global battle pass will be accessible to earn experience and unlock these rewards as you take part in the content.
One of the key features of Kord Breach is the modifiers. Players will be able to select specific buffs/debuffs which will affect their gameplay experience. If you crave more of a challenge in the already daunting world of Tarkov then this is definitely for you although it’s not just for the hardcore as some of these can also simplify aspects of the game to make things easier as well.
Alongside the seasonal content will be a brand new story line that will expand into the elusive Black Division faction, a shady group of elite mercenaries that have been putting some of Tarkov’s finest to the sword within Ice Breaker as well as Labs in the most recent event.
There will also be a seasonal league and rankings available for those that want to go above and beyond and have their exploits immortalised on the scoreboard. This will also come with exclusive rewards depending on the rankings met.
Finally with the recent introduction of the expansions hub and Tarcoin currency, Escape From Tarkov now has its own expansive and highly customisable experience that each player can tailor to their liking whether it’s hunting bosses in PVE with your friends or fighting off players while desperately trying to extract in PVP.
