E3 2017 | VR Title, “Sprint Vector” Mentions New Features, Playable at E3
Developer, Survios have announced that there are some game changing improvements to talk about in their upcoming VR title, Sprint Vector.
Sprint Vector is a game about players leaping, flying, and climbing at incredible speeds in head-to-head races as they overcome insane race courses that requires quick thinking. Players will need quick reflexes as they scale huge buildings, cover giant gaps, and all whilst moving at intense speeds set to make your eyeballs water. The developer, Survios have a “Fluid Locomotion System that utilizes “Intended Motion” mechanics, these allow the players to play the game reaching these incredible speeds without being affected by any physical or mental side effects. Nifty!
Since demo’ing the title at GDC 2017, the game has been updated significantly, with players being able to push the race into their advantage by using built-in weapons, Players are now instantly equipped with a blasting ability that allows them to destroy obstacles that may stand in their way. New items are present, with Nitro, and Slow Mines being available to grab from the track. Nitro allows players to give themselves a short burst of speed, and a Slow Mine is planted, once hit the opponent slows them down.
New powerups are available too, with weapons, levels, and playable characters being revealed in the coming months. There are also now abilities to drift and wall run.
Sprint Vector will be at E3 2017 where it’ll be demo’d along the developers other VR venture, “Raw Data”, a VR action thriller title. If you’re at E3 this year, you can find the game in the South Hall, Booth #501.
Sprint Vector is due for release late 2017.
