Blasphemous: Martyrs’ Edition is open for pre-orders soon
After the success of Blasphemous, an action-platformer with hack’n slash combat, is now releasing a physical version for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, called Blasphemous: Martyrs’ edition. This new version will be launching on October 30th, but pre-orders are opening in the next few days.
We previously reviewed Blasphemous:
“An arduous journey into redemption, Blasphemous blends both Soulsborne difficulty and Metroidvania exploration with an excellent but somewhat gruesome delivery. Rarely unfair but always difficult, it’s a hard slog for those not used to this level of punishment but the exhilaration of triumph keeps you coming back for more.”
The Blasphemous: Martyrs’ Edition is meant to be in a more premium, physical package. Alongside the game on a disc/cartridge, this version of the game includes a 48-page Visual Compendium showcasing a bunch of previously unreleased artwork, a premium poster that has all-new key visuals, a developer letter, a game manual and a digital soundtrack that contains 38 tracks.
This version of the game will be rolling out at participating retailers across both Europe and North American in the coming days, so that those who want to make sure they have it, can pre-order them ahead of the October release. With Blasphemous 2 coming out recently, there is a lot of thirst for this type of physical game, and all of the different special features of this game that come with the physical are perfect for fans and collectors alike.
