Announcement Trailer For Project CARS 2 Finally Lands

Project CARS 2, a car racing title by Slightly Mad Studios have announced their game is coming this year and show us a familiar looking trailer.

Last month a leaked trailer of Project CARS 2 was released on a YouTuber’s account and got many people in awe. The official trailer is now here, and it confirms that the leak was in fact a legit leak, however while the two are not edited the same, there are clips from the leaked trailer that are in the official trailer.

The trailer shows some stunning graphics and what looks like nail biting races. In a news release on Bandai Namco, they have announced that the game has over one-hundred and seventy licensed cars to drive, as well as support for both VR, and 12K.

An Online Championships game mode arrives too, allowing creation and joining of ongoing racing leagues, Esports functionality, Director/Broadcaster Integration, and old and new motor sports classes such as Rallycross, IndyCar and more.

“We’re excited by the significant advances we’ve made in the physics and mechanical underpinnings of each of our 170-plus cars. That, along with a vastly enriched climate and weather simulation system on all 60-plus tracks, and new simulated surfaces—dirt, ice, snow, and mud—makes Project CARS 2 by far the most authentic and immersive racing sim we’ve ever created,”  -Stephen Viljoen (Game Director at Projects CARS 2)

Weather conditions apply a lot more now, with tarmac, mud, ice, snow, rain, making their way onto various tracks with the new LiveTrack 3.0 which brings dynamic time of the day and seasonal changes. .

Projects CARS 2 will be released in late 2017 according to the trailer, so we could be looking at a Q4 arrival rather than the rumoured September release. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
