Escape the Backrooms adds free new level

0

Escape the Backrooms is celebrating it’s 4th anniversary, as it was previously released in Early Access back in 2022 for PC. To celebrate this milestone, they have released a new, free level that’s available on PC and console.

We previously covered Escape the Backrooms on a featured list:

“I also liked the variety of difficulty options, including one that completely ends your game should any player die. Only for the very brave and those immune to frustration. Yes, the visuals are a bit ropey at times, and some of the monsters are a little irritating to deal with, but if you have a group of like minded buddies, you can do a lot worse than spending some evenings running around completely lost.”

5 Backrooms style games to get lost in

Escape the Backrooms has added an endless ball pit in Level 421 (also known as the Plastic Marina) where you can find a room connected to a children’s hospital, where you can see an endless ballpit. You can swim through it, finding a terrifying shark entity, and solving puzzles to end up on a route into Overgrowth. There are two different entities added into the game with this update, along with a new entity variant.

It’s an interesting new level and new monster to be added into the game, alongside the over 30 other backrooms levels, full of dangers and entities. You can try to escape, but survival isn’t going to come easily, even if you have all four of the players that could be attempting the level with you.
