Title: Aura of Worlds
Developer: Cognitive Forge
[Greenlight Page]
What type of game is it?
Roguelike Platformer
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Can you survive the temple? Journey through it’s procedurally generated dungeons, testing your mettle against its deadly traps and bosses.
What do we like most about it?
The developer has stated that most, if not all items in the game serve dual purposes or can be interacted with in multiple ways. EX.
“Each situation is intended to be challenging but solvable with planning and agility. For example there is a laser force field trap in front of you. Do you throw an enemy into it? Blow up the conduit with a grenade? Blink through it? Cloak yourself to pass through undetected?”
That is an exceptional pitch, and I truly hope we see proper implementation of that scale of problem solving throughout each of the game’s seven different areas.
There’s mention of a plethora of other abilities (aside from the name-dropped blink), as well as opportunites to repurpose turrets to work for you, use light sources as offensive objects, as well as deal damage by throwing practically any item.
Very promising, I think most would agree.
When’s it due?
Aura of Worlds will launch at some point next year, after April, when it does launch it will do so for Windows PC.
