The Surge finds itself a new trailer showing off the loot and equip systems in action.
Deck13’s title, The Surge, is an action packed, RPG title that is making its way to PS4, Xbox One, and PC next month on the 16th May 2017. The latest trailer released for the title shows off the limb-slicing loot system, so be prepared to see copious amounts of blood.
We’ve already seen some details regarding the title, and a combat trailer, as well as a Cinematic trailer too.
Players in The Surge are able to loot fallen enemies, but the game gives the player amazing control over what they loot. During combat for example, they can individually target specific body parts on the enemy, and by using vertical or horizontal attacks, they can damage those limbs, eventually leading to them being sliced off. What body part they dismember will determine what equipment they end up looting. This ends up leading to strategic plays with players having to choose between quick, less rewarding battles, or longer, more rewarding battles. The tougher the enemy, the more powerful the weapons and armour.
The Surge is arriving in May on the 16th and can be pre-ordered on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
