Today, Nintendo revealed some detailed details about their iOS game, Super Mario Run.
It’s the first Super Mario Bros mobile game to feature the lovable plumber, and has a very simple system. Mario runs automatically, it’s down to the player to simply tap to jump. Jumping will either cover gaps, hit blocks, land on enemies, collect coins, and perform stylish moves. It seems to have taken a similar approach to Rayman Fiesta Run and Robot Unicorn Attack. Simple tapping seems to lead to global phenomenon!
Super Mario Run will be available on December 15th 2016, and will be released on iPhone’s, iPod’s, and iPad’s that are running iOS 8.0 and later. It will be launched across 151 countries, and regions, and the game will be available to download for free, but only allow players to try three game modes. There will be a one off in-app purchase for the full game costing £8 ($10)
