Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux Uncovers New Announcement Trailer
The announcement trailer for Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux has arrived on the Nintendo YouTube channel and features a lot of updated visuals, cut scenes, and flashing, ending with a release period.
Originally released in 2009 by developer, Atlus for the Nintendo DS, the title is the forth part of the Shin Megami series. The story is centred around a group who are sent to investigate the Schwarzwelt, a spatial distortion that has the potential to eradicate the world, and one of those members of the group is you, an unnamed protagonist. The game takes on a first-person perspective, and the combat style of a turn-based game.
The Redux version will feature brand new illustrations from Masayuki Doi, updated visuals, UI twiddling, and more. In addition there will be additional story content with new endings to find, a new female character named Alex, new demons that fans may recognise from previous Shin Megami Tensei titles, and a brand new dungeon.
The JRPG will be arriving on the Nintendo 3DS in early 2018 apparently.
