Rainbow Six Siege’s Velvet Shell Update’s Defender, MIRA, Shown, Detailed

MIRA, the defensive operator added in Rainbow Six Siege’s imminent Velvet Shell update, has been shown off in a new teaser.

With only a couple of days left until the live panel for Rainbow Six Siege’s latest update, Velvet Shell, we’ve finally got a sneak peek at the new defensive operator being added with it.

Regular readers will remember we covered the new map, Coastline, a villa with nearby castle complex based in Ibiza, and we also put out the teaser for MIRA’s attacking counterpart Jackal, who has a set of cool glasses that highlight footsteps.

Well, it turns out that both members of the Spanish outlet are about visibility, with MIRA having the ability to deploy a bulletproof window in reinforced walls – to see, freeze at 6 seconds and observe the words near the bottom of the pane. It’s a clever addition to the game, as there’s often at least one operator inside the objective room with the walls heavily reinforced – something like this could give them a head-start on when enemies are approaching, which is easily enough to turn a match around.

More details will be given at the upcoming Ubisoft event from 3rd-5th of this month; we’ll inevitably get to see a lot of the new map and operators.
