Moss: The Forgotten Relic announced for PC and Consoles

Moss: The Forgotten Relic, the latest entry in the Moss series, has been announced for PC, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. From developers Polyarc, this new game — featuring the adorable mouse Quill — is said to be an emotional and atmospheric adventure set in the pages of a living storybook, full of myth and ancient magic. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Quill, who has been in a number of other games (our favourite being Moss: Book II).

It’s is a hand-crafted fantasy game about Quill. Quill is a young mouse with dreams of greatness beyond the confines of her home. This game aims at blending exploration, environmental puzzles, combat and heartfelt connection between the player and the hero. Quill has always been a touching and adorable character, so it’s great to hear that that connection is still at play.

The end of the game is meant to stick with players for some time, staying in their mind. The announcement trailer looks stunning, introducing Moss’ magical storybook world and giving a glimpse at the “twofold” gameplay, where a player not only controls a tiny but determined hero on her heartfelt adventure but also directly is able to interact with the world itself as the hero’s watchful guardian, the Reader.

Moss: The Forgotten Relic has some interesting accessibility options, including the option to skip combat, so that you can focus on the immersive story. It’s the latest entry in an extremely well known series,  with so many award nominations, so I have nothing but high expectations and hopes for this one.

Currently, there isn’t a set release date for Moss: The Forgotten Relic beyond “this summer” but you can wishlist the game on Steam ahead of the launch. When it does launch it will also launch for consoles, however it’s not fully clear which ones just yet.
