Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast.
In this, the final part of our third Big Boss Babble podcast, we discuss the recently released >observer_ from Bloober Games (Layers of Fear).
It’s a cyberpunk title with amazing visual quality and a surprisingly well structured story which follows the story of an Observer who is seeking his lost son as a mysterious series of events befall a slummy, futuristic Polish tenement block.
Much like the previous titles from Bloober Team the game immerses players by carefully guiding their view, and triggering jump scares based both on location and viewpoint. This, as Dann regales, works very well up until they kill the player.
Dann led the topic while Toby, Terry and Jorge donned their rigs and strapped their necks with steel plates to avoid having their mind read.
