Microsoft have released a new trailer, and details, pertaining to the next beta for the upcoming Halo Wars 2.
Halo Wars 2 has a new beta on the way, as confirmed today by Microsoft’s Dan Ayoub, and this time it’s all based around testing out the new mode coming to the game – Blitz.
Blitz plays similar to the Halo mode of the same name, with single-use power-ups able to be deployed into the battle to give you temporary boosts and possibly swing the battle. Of course, unlike the last Halo title where it spells out changed up load-out or a vehicle, in Halo Wars 2 it will mean units, power-ups and more.
The Beta will be available on Windows 10 & Xbox One from Jan 20th, and will run through until the 30th. It’s going to include a single map, but options to play 1vs1, 2vs2, or 3vs3. That said, apparently the launch factions will be included, allowing for some experimentation.
You can read some details over on the Xbox blog, and check out the trailer below.
Halo Wars 2 will launch for Windows 10 & Xbox One on February 17th.
