What type of game is it?
Naval Adventure Strategy.
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
Fishing is the life of Marina & Vino, however it’s all delivered in a really simply to play fashion with a series of missions and tasks ever widening the areas you can explore and set down anchor.
What do we like most about it?
Personally I quite enjoy games with the lifestyle twist to them; Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, etc. As such the thing I like most about the game is simply that it exists. I really like the idea of a game which manages to turn what could seem like quite a mundane idea and turn it into a simply charming looking little title that transforms fetch-quests into exploratory missions. The fact that the fishing areas change from game to game (you fail if you don’t complete the game within the fishing season) as well looks to completely shake up the formula enough to keep people interested.
When’s it due?
Marinatide is due out on PC, Mac & Linux this year.
