Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, an action packed game set within the Fate universe has launched today. The game features sixteen playable Servants from the Fate universe from three different story arcs.

Marvellous have also announced their post launch DLC schedule, which is spread out across five weeks, with each week bringing exclusive costumes for the Servants. Week one features the below costumes.

The story takes place after the events that were put forward in Fate/EXTRA, and introduces the world after the previous Holy Grail War. Our writer, Pete has ran his review on the game which you can check out by clicking here.

“Gameplay itself is in the same vein as Koei’s Musou/Warriors games; you play as a powerful hero, vying for control of areas on a map against a large opposing army. Generally, your goal is to complete a “Regime Matrix” which is a meter that fills as you capture areas. Each area has a value, with higher value areas filling more of the matrix. Areas are captured by defeating high ranking enemies inside them called “Aggressors”, which appear when enough regular troops have been murdered.”

Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star is available for PS4 and PSVita.
