Fort Triumph is a title that focuses its passion on combat. The world that the heroes (Paladin, Mage, Ranger, and Savage classes) walk, are moved around on, “tiles”. In a turn-based system. Players will be trying to take out any enemies on the map in any way that they see fit. Trees, pillars, crates, and more can all be used as weapons by being interacted with tactically. Magic comes into play and can work by either attacking the enemy, or by defending other heroes. Missions come forth for the heroes, with some quests needing a village to be saved, others an item needs to be recovered. The world is procedurally generated, so each mission won’t be the same.

The combat also become affected by traits being given to the heroes depending on the players choices throughout the game. Not only that but they unlock skills and abilities, which all tie up with their weaknesses and strengths that they gather across various encounters and missions set in various towns, villages, forests, volcanoes, and more.

There is a demo available for Mac, PC, and Linux which can be found on the Steam store as well as IndieDB, and GameJolt

It’s an interesting looking title, I quite like the idea of using the world around you, and our writer, Craig gave his thoughts on the title in a First Impressions piece where he played through five levels.

There are no stretch goals for the title yet, but I’d imagine they will include some should the funding exceed their target.
