Pokemon Centre UK releases Pokemon x BaubleBar collab
The Pokemon Centre UK has just released a Pokemon x BaubleBar collaboration, revealing a bunch of super cute jewellery. I have been saying for quite some time that Pokmeon needs to lean into it’s more femmme side, so when I saw that they have a beautiful, adult/teen looking collection full of bag charms, rings, bracelets and necklaces, I was very excited!
BaubleBar is a brand known for their trendy, yet affordable jewelry and accessories, so this does make sense for a collaboration. The Pokemon x BaubleBar collection isn’t a huge amount of items, which I very much appreciate. Instead, they focus on a selection of first Generation Pokemon: Eevee, Snorlax, Pikachu, JigglyPuff, Gengar, Vulpix, Dragonite and Dragonair.
The whole collection has four different necklaces, three bracelets, five pairs of earrings, four bag charms and three rings, so there isn’t a ton of different things to choose from, but everything that is there looks incredibly distinct. The Snorlax ring has little charms inside Snorlax’s belly, for example, which is an adorable touch.
I quite like the bag charms, of which there are a couple of different types. Some are more the wrap-around a strap type, while others have two or one clip. Each of them feel completely unique and like they blend easily into the Pokemon that is feature on them. There is also a lot of sparkly stones in the Pokemon x BaubleBar collection, which feels particularly girly to me.
This collection only came about a month after Pokemon announced their Summer Collection, which is still has a lot of stock on their website. They also have a more masculine collection of jewellery, by King Ice, if you’re looking for something less femme looking.
