Ticket to Ride Poland Expansion has launched on video game
Ticket to Ride is an extremely iconic, popular tabletop game that, as with many popular board games, has had a video game adaptation. It’s an easy to learn, strategic board game all about building train lines across large, expansive maps. The video game adaptation is very similar to the tabletop game, making it feel like a direct translation of all of the fun that Ticket to Ride has to offer. Now, Ticket to Ride has a Poland Expansion added to the digital game.
Instead of needing friends in person, Ticket to Ride in this form allows you to play against other players all across the world or take on bot opponents in single player mode. You don’t even need to clean up the board if you don’t want! The Ticket to Ride: Poland Expansion is a DLC for those that have Ticket to Ride.
In this DLC, at the start of the game, each of Poland’s neighbouring countries gets a stack of Country Coins. When your train route connects two of these nodes, you will get a Coin from each one, until all of the coins are taken. Each Coin has a number on it, marking how many points it is worth at the end of the game.
This new map and the Coins aren’t the only new features of the Ticket to Ride Poland Expansion – there are also two new characters, locomotives and carriages. Regina Kaminska is a talented make-up artist looking to get across Poland to get to her clients and Kacper Pawlak is a jazz student, who is performing all across the country during the nights.
There is also the Copernicus, a train that was named after one of the most famous Polish people in history, and the Poloaise, which has it’s own unique sound as it moves across the map… Orbiting Greatness is great for carrying heavy cargo while Kujawiak is all for carrying passengers.
Even if you don’t have the Ticket to Ride: Poland Expansion, those with the base game will also be recieving a free token to celebrate, which gives them the spectacular Ferris locomotive.
