BALL x PIT has released The Shadow Update, a free update that has introduced two new characters, 11 new balls, and a bunch of extra stuff to play through. If you’ve somehow found yourself here, but are unfamiliar with BALL x PIT, here is an excerpt from our review:
“Speaking of the grind in BALL x PIT, it is a game that you are going to have to play time and time again to really get anywhere with it. Whether the RNG just doesn’t work out, you slip up and take just one too many hits or you just aren’t strong enough you will be replaying levels to progress and make each character stronger.
BALL x PIT is filled with opportunities to grow, build and break a lot of brick shaped enemies and will most certainly be one to lookout for.”
In this free update, some of the new balls come with new variations that slot in well next to existing mechanics such as bleed and freeze. There are also two new playable characters; The Tiptoer, who is a deadly ninja that cannot be detected by enemies at close range and The Tunneller, who is a miner that has balls that can go beyond the edge of the screen and wrap around to the other side.
These aren’t the only new additions, the Guildhall is a new building that you can construct in your base that allows you to re-roll previously chosen character upgrades. It also adds four new passives to BALL x PIT which include Full Metal Rapier, which sees each ball scaling it’s damage based on how many balls and enemies are currently on the battlefield and The Arrow of Fate, which makes you immune to incoming projectiles and fires back a burst of smaller balls whenever you’re hit.
