Mini Boss Babble Episode 3: Part 2 – Are Games Becoming Too Cheap?

Mini Boss Babble are smaller, one topic cuts from our otherwise extensive weekly podcast.

In this, the second part of our third Big Boss Babble podcast, we discuss the question of, “Are Games Becoming Too Cheap?” as raised by a recent article on Polygon (No one knows how expensive video games should be – Ben Kuchera).

Opinions are certainly mixed throughout the team, not least due to the vast differences in the regularly accepted price of newly released AAA games vs recent smaller titles like Sonic Mania and Behold the Kickmen, or the fact that digital, PC releases (which are at the heart of the topic) often have less costs than physical alternatives.

Jorge led the topic while Dann, Toby and Terry avoided the fact that a 30% cut is a lot of money when it comes to digital storefronts and publishers.
