1C Company have sent along some information pertaining to Jujubee‘s upcoming Realpolitiks, a modern-day, grand-strategy title launching on Steam next year.
The announcement largely revolved around the re-unveiling of the title (it was initially detailed back in 2015) however also delivered a release date for the game.
Grand-Strategy games are starting to become increasingly popular of late, however few have tried to tackle modern day, and future, world politics.
With the recent anxieties, and a lot of political upheaval over the last few years there’s some very interesting scenarios on show on the game’s steam page.
One shows a shattered Europe with Northern France and Germany forming into a solid union, while Poland and neighbouring countries have taken land from Russia and formed up into a new bloc. There’s yet another where the UK is simply the Southern half of England, with a reunified Ireland, a separate Scotland, and a new nation risen in the Midlands and North called Albion – meanwhile the HRE has apparently re-arisen in Italy, and Algeira only retains its coastal provinces.
These are just a few changes I’ve chosen, there’s vast variations on the current world states available – which certainly promises a lot of replayability.
So, to say the least it looks very interesting. Of course, we have yet to see how alliances, military conflict and… the solar system map… come into play, but it’s all looking very promising.
