Reaching for Petals Receives Beautiful Full-Length Trailer
Blue Entropy Studios have released an extended trailer for their upcoming narrative exploration title Reaching for Petals.
Combining a story which delves deep into the protagonist’s distant memories, dynamic music, and a solid application of Unreal Engine 4’s technology, Reaching for Petals looks like it could be the next big story-driven experience. It also, much like genre staple Dear Esther, features a narrator who serves as a distorted, poetic guide throughout the experience.
The team have previously worked on several VR titles as part of their Escape The Room series: The Ruins. The Cabin, The Gleam.
Reaching for Petals has been in development while the team worked on those games, with development of the title starting last year.
Here’s the key features as detailed on the game’s Steam page:
“Key Features:
– Dynamic music seamlessly paint emotion throughout your entire journey.
– Explore large, gorgeous, and semi-intractable environments created in Unreal Engine 4.
– Philosophical narration and poetic writing deliver a powerful and engaging story.”

Reaching for Petals is planned to launch on PC in Summer of this year, with console versions due at a later point.
