Hey Vault-Dwellers! Just a quick note to say that the Fallout 4 – High Resolution Texture Packs that we were talking about this time last week [post] is now available over on Steam.
It’s a free DLC that weighs in at an utterly obscene 58GB, but serves to beautify Bethesda’s open-world, post-apocalyptic RPG – if that’s your kind of thing.
There’s no word on whether this content will be coming to consoles in the future, however I’d imagine -as Microsoft’s Scorpio (and in a way, the PS4 Pro) seem to be leading consoles into a transitional system- we will ultimately see patching to select games, especially ones that fall under the recently embraced games as a service bracket. Fallout 4 may well be one of the games that see such patches, especially considering the developers are still working on the title; albeit as Fallout 4 VR.
