MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is a tag-team beat ’em up that features 15 Marvel Super Heroes in the base game, but has now released MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Cyclops and The Thing DLC, adding in a couple of iconic characters.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion is a triumphant piece of 80’s nostalgia
The MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Cyclops and The Thing is true to the name – you can play as the Fantastic Four’s The Thing and X-Men’s Cyclops alongside the other heroes that are featured in the base game. Cyclops is ideal for countering aerial enemies, as he attacks through energy beams that can be shot diagonally into the air. On the other hand, The Thing is a powerhouse, bouncing and jumping across the environments, specifically effective at targeting enemies on the ground. This pair arrive feeling like excellent, balanced additions that complement each other. I’m interested in where they take future characters, but I suppose that all depends on how well this DLC is received – we do know, however, that at least one one more pack (including at least one villain and a new mode) is coming.
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is looking to have another LDC launching in the Fall of 2026, which will offer a new game mode and more playable characters (including villains) to continue to spice up the game.
