Mafia III launched in October 2016, and had various DLC content throughout November and one DLC in December. Now Hangar 13 are bringing more story to the game with three new expansions.
Apparently the story that came with the game wasn’t enough for Hangar 13, and so they have created an expansion to it which will come as new expansions in the coming months.
The first expansion is set to arrive in March, with May, and July following.
“Faster, Baby” will be the first expansion to arrive towards the end of March 2017. It’ll feature fast car chases riddled with stunts and follow Lincoln as he joins forces with Roxy Laveau as they aim to take down a corrupt Sheriff who has been terrorising Civil Rights activists on the outskirts of New Bordeaux. This will feature all new areas of the map that players will not have seen before.
“Stones Unturned” will be arriving in May 2017 and see’s a rival resurface in the New Bordeaux, forcing Lincoln to work with a CIA agent named, John Donovan. This blood feud goes back to Vietnam.
“Sign of the Times” will come about in July 2017, and it introduces a string of ritualistic killings, sending Lincoln on the hunt for killers, finding himself surrounded by drugs, and darkness.
Apparently the expansions are not only offering new stories to play out, but they also will offer new gameplay mechanics, activities, environments and rewards.
More details are due to be released at some point in the coming weeks.
Mafia III is out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
