KeokeN Interactive’s Deliver Us the Moon to be Published by Starbreeze, Releases Story Teaser to Celebrate.
Keoken Interactive have secured a distribution and publishing deal with Starbreeze Entertainment for their upcoming action adventure title Deliver Us the Moon.
In 53 years, 2069, at a dusty launch platform in Kazakhstan an astronaut goes rogue, casting them into space to reach the moon in a last ditch effort to restore the Earth’s resources following a failed project aiming at saving the planet.
From the developer’s website, “Deliver Us The Moon is set in the near future where the earth’s resources are nearly depleted. The nations of the world have come together to create the Worldwide Space Agency (WSA). Under the banner of the WSA, astronauts were sent to the moon to conduct research aimed at securing the future of mankind. Sadly, due to bickering between countries, no solution has been agreed upon. Now, with man’s absolute last resources, you, a brave astronaut gone rogue, take the great step to the moon in a do-or-die secret mission to save humanity.
During your adventure your only companion will be a small robot named ASE, the all seeing eye. Together, you will traverse the moon, explore abandoned facilities and perhaps even uncover some secrets and hidden agendas with the information you gather. Only by working together will you be able to stand a chance in succeeding on delivering the moon!”
Deliver us The Moon is pitched as a hard sci-fi, action-adventure title that will see you fighting to survive against the odds, all the while discovering the sequence of events that led to humanity reaching such a dire, last ditch attempt.
Keoken Interactive released the below trailer back on the 26th of November, while also confirming that they’ve signed a publishing deal with Starbreeze Studios (Brothers a Tale of Two Sons, Payday 2, Enclave) wherein Starbreeze will invest half a million USD into the project prior to launch, which it will then reclaim before settling into a traditional publishing role on the title. They also confirmed that the rights to the IP will be retained by Keoken Interactive.
Deliver us The Moon successfully held a Kickstarter campaign earlier on in the year, which saw the game confirmed for PC & Xbox One. The game is expected to release as a full game (rather than the originally pitched episodic form) over the next year; with the game’s original planned completion date around August 2017.
