What type of game is it?
What’s the 30 second elevator pitch?
You play an expanding snake… block… thing, who must transform and cut away at itself in order to pass through the many non-linear levels.
What do we like most about it?
The simplicity of the game tied into it’s philosophical edge about having to change yourself, removing and abandoning parts if you want to push and reach the upper eschalons, and, ultimately, how hard it is to stop until the thought hits you as to what has happened.
Apparently there are more mechanics than those displayed in the trailer in the full game, as well as the chance to meet several of the other creatures of the game world.
It rated 4th in April’s Ludum Dare #35 which had a subject of Shapeshifter, I would argue that it completely his the nail on the head.
When’s it due?
It’s due sometime in 2017 for PC, Mac & Linux. There is a demo available through the developer’s [itch.io] if you want to give it a go, I recommend you do.
