Save your cat friends from an evil dragon as you fight your way around Felis Island,
What do we like most about it?
The mood and art design of Felis is absolutely wonderful; it’s a cheerful, chipper game about saving cats from dragons, and the world couldn’t look brighter and cheerier if it tried.
I was initially a bit bothered by the strange doll-like rigidbodies when I first watched the trailer, there’s a moment near the start where the player has to jump to get up the last few steps on a staircase due to the fact the character is slouched forward at a steeper incline than the stairs elevate — however, by the end of the trailer it was obvious that the style had been chosen for a reason, and it actually looks exceptionally appropriate at times.
The idea that fierce cat warriors saw off evil dragons a long time ago is certainly intriguing, and while I doubt we’ll see anything of the interesting history that dominates the game’s Greenlight page, I do hope we do.
When’s it due?
Felis doesn’t currently have a release date listed. It is currently only listed to launch on Windows PC when it does launch.
