Journey across the star systems in your mining ship and exploration craft as you reveal the mystery behind the exodus your forefathers took.
What do we like most about it?
The developers have made it clear that as you mine and exploit your way through the game’s 40 star systems you do so while following a well-written story. It’s also great that the game allows you to set your own pace and play-style in that you can pirate or evade targets, mine delicately or do so with nuclear blasts, and trade your way through or go it alone.
The idea of taking an 8-10 hour journey through bespoke star systems, with tailored side-missions as well as a simple to understand research mechanic certainly sounds good to me. The idea of the karma system, which penalises you for brasher, careless and destructive actions sounds like a solid way to ensure that players who act in a selfish, hasty way are set to go about it alone until they take more care.
When’s it due?
Constellation Distantia is set to realease in early 2017 for Windows PC.
