Causality is a tile based puzzle game, where players manipulate time, change events and alter the final outcome of each level.*
What do we like most about it?
The combination of minimalist art design, and the sound-effectless infinite thrumming and humming of the games soundtrack. It’s not quite the silence said to (not) resonate through space, but instead a simple, clean and otherworldly tune that seems perfect for calming and focusing the player.
Anything else worth shouting about?
I quite like games that play with time, and former versions of the player, it’s not something I’ve grown bored of yet – and this game does it with such simple visual effort that it seems especially novel. Hopefully that novelty will hold up through the games 60+ levels.
When’s it due?
Causality is due out in Q4 of this year, when it will launch for PC & Mac.
