Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition Announced for April 2017 Release

Gearbox Software launch new publishing arm; Gearbox Publishing. First title from the label to be People Can Fly’s Bulletstorm as a remastered edition.

Bulletstorm, released back in 2011, is one of the examples I have been holding up all year as people have declared the ‘return of the first person shooter‘ with Doom.  It was a nutty science fiction shooter that featured scored kills, ridiculous enemy deaths, and a lot of colourful language.

People Can Fly will be working with the newly announced Gearbox Publishing (a publishing wing from Gearbox Software) in order to release an updated version of the game -titled Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition- onto PS4, Xbox One & Windows PC. The game is currently expected to release on April 7th, 2017.

Alongside the updated edition, and ‘4k Visuals’ for the PC & PS4 (no doubt the pro edition), there were also a few more details listed about new features in the new version, as follows.

  • All previously-released content including all maps, modes, and more on your favorite modern platform

  • New Overkill Campaign Mode where you can blast your way through the campaign by starting with an unrestricted arsenal of weapons and Skillshots

  • Five brand-new levels for the score-based Echo Mode, where you can showcase your skills

  • Improved presentation featuring updated models, environments, and animations all running at a smoother framerate than ever before

  • Fast-paced gunplay with unique kick, slide, and leash combos

  • Newly remastered audio effects

  • The option to play through the entire Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition campaign as Duke Nukem, featuring a fully rerecorded script and brand-new lines from the original voice of Duke, with your pre-order

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition will be released on April 7 next year.
