Kid’s Update coming to Coral Island – along with Switch 2 release date

Coral Island, the life sim, farm management game where you can also become mermaids, has continued to be developed with new updates and storylines being added. Now, they’ve announced that it’ll be coming to Nintendo Switch 2, alongside the 1.4 update rollout across all platforms.

We previously previewed Coral Island:

“Coral Island also has a lot of trash scattered around, which at this time I cannot currently clean up, but I do hope that I will be able to make the town less messy and more habitable for animals and people! Even in Early Access, Coral Island feels like a well polished, complete game with so much to do and explore. It brings a new slice of life game to your computer, and is worth diving in if you enjoy that genre.”

Coral Island – another adorable farming slice of life!

The 1.4 update, called Kids Grow Up, is going to be adding in a bunch of milestones for those that have children within the game, giving their family something to look forward to as the children grow up and develop their own personalities. The children that live in the world around you will also be able to grow up, gaining their own stories, so if you aren’t ready for that milestone within your game, you can still find some new adventures and stories to explore.

Looking at the Coral Island announcement trailer for 1.4, I am excited to see that the Nintendo Switch version of the game has cross platform support for multiplayer. The new content and life stages within the children aspect of the game looks adorable too – I love the idea of helping them with their hobbies and encouraging them in whichever direction I feel would be best.

There will also be some quality of life updates alongside this, which is good to see!
